Harry Gruenert is an abstract painter based in Berkeley. About his art, he says "my work is about using less and creating a space the viewer can appreciate.....other tools are used besides brushes to create my paintings and my work is almost never predetermined, chance, coincidence, destruction and multilayered paint are involved in the creation of my work." Kristen Jensen is a Bay Area native who has been painting professionally since 1999, and currently works from her studio at Studios Eleven in Oakland, California. Mati Rose McDonough
Mati Rose is an Oakland-based artist, illustrator, painting teacher and author of “Daring Adventures in Paint”. She has had dozens of art shows, taught painting classes internationally and had her art used by clients Patagonia, University Games, Pier 1, as well as greeting cards, and her very own home decor line. Audrey paints how color sounds in her mind's eye, using the vibration of the colors to compose an atmospheric emotional impression. Her greatest inspiration comes from nature, introspection, and philosophical reflection. She draws upon experiences collected during travel in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Asia, and the South Pacific, as well as experiences in silent retreat, creating choreography, and listening to music.
